As promised, here is the How-To on removing receipts from internal emails.
2010 outlook read receipt how to#
I will be writing a How-To on how to remove these in the near future. M$$ once again made another change and internally the Disposition-Notification-To section of the email header does NOT contain anything on an internal email. Well if I create another rule but select 'inside the organization' it will prevent the sending of read receipts from emails initiated from co-workers. Now, I know what some of you are thinking. I have no idea why Microsoft had to make the changes (I am sure there are lots of technical reasons) but the Transport Rule does work and it simply works by stripping out the Disposition-Notification-To section of the email header, thus removing any request for a read receipt completely from the email. I see that these might be useful features for Outlook 2016 for Mac. This week saw an update for read receipts and Gmail calendar and contact support. Outlook for Mac is a start, but it's missing a few key features. I upgraded my Outlook on my Macbook Pro to version 15.36.1 (170721) but there was no sign of the desired feature in my Outlook. I was one of many Outlook users who recommended that the 'read receipt' function available on my laptop Windows environment that it was to be made available to all MAC users. Thank you for sharing your comments and requirement about Read Receipt option in Outlook 2016 for Mac with us. Hello Radek, Welcome to Microsoft Community.
